Lloyd joined the industry in May 1989, working in various institutional trading, derivatives and research intern positions at RBC Dominion Securities until moving to Mackenzie Financial in 1992
where he spent most of his years wholesaling as a Regional Sales Representative covering advisors throughout Ontario and Manitoba. He was then recruited by Fidelity Investments as a Senior Fund Analyst working with various Portfolio Managers in Hong Kong, London and Tokyo until October 2001 when he was offered a position with their National Accounts and Strategy Development team in Canada. He continued in this position until August 2006, at which point he left to partner in a new private finance and development business for four years until joining Dynamic Funds in August 2010. Beyond his responsibilities as Head of National Accounts and VP of Managed Assets, he was also tasked in 2022 to head the firm's ongoing Fixed Income Strategy Development group.
Lloyd has a BA in Economics from the University of Western Ontario and has completed the Canadian Securities Course. He completed Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association's Fundamentals of Alternative Investments Certificate Program in 2018 and he sits on the board of the Alternative Investment Management Association of Canada.
When not at work, Lloyd enjoys golf, writing, skiing & boxing and spending time with his wife and two children.
