Brendan Wylie-Toal
As Director of Research and Innovation at KidsAbility, Brendan Wylie-Toal is passionate about finding new and innovative approaches to address the ever-increasing pressures on pediatric rehabilitation. Brendan believes in an “open innovation” approach, prioritizing partnerships with Universities, Colleges, and Manufacturers to help identify new opportunities for improvement.
As a member of KidsAbility Senior Leadership Team, he is actively engaged in creating and implementing strategic direction and program development. Brendan believes that agility coupled with data driven decision-making is key to develop new business opportunities, diversify revenue streams, improve client access to care and health outcomes.
Brendan is also an instructor and researcher at the University of Waterloo. His action based experiential learning approach boosts staff engagement in exploring impactful solutions to every day “real world” challenges faced by children with special needs.
