Dr. Taryn Eickmeier is an Adjunct Professor with the Faculties of Health Sciences and Graduate Studies at Ontario Tech University, Sessional Faculty at Durham College, and an Executive Lead of Clinical and Client Services at Grandview Kids. With a passion for supporting the growth and development of team members, Taryn finds tactful, creative ways to mobilize evidence into daily practice to benefit clinicians, clients, families and community partners alike.
Alongside a Bachelor of Kinesiology, Master of Arts in Health Promotion and a Doctorate in Public Health and Health Systems, Taryn is a graduate of the Public Sector Executive Leadership Institute through the Smith School of Business with Queen's University. Taryn is the Co-Chair of the Durham's Best Start Network, Co-Chair of the Empowered Kids Ontario Research Community of Practice, and the Vice-Chair of the Ignite Durham Learning Foundation Board of Directors.
Through community partnerships, meaningful engagement, and strategic planning, Taryn is a thoughtful leader, fostering a sense of hope and joy in all she does.
