There is a significant and increasing requirement to support children with complex behavioural needs who are in the care of child welfare or who are at risk of entering care due to a lack of timely services, caregiver fatigue and circumstances escalating to crisis. The Mobile Behaviour Treatment Team (MBTT) was created to respond to these vulnerable children, stabilizing behaviour, teaching new skills and preventing kids from entering the care of the Society-- returning children from a staff model to a family-based care setting.

This presentation will outline the program, the clinical approach and how it operates, and a review of 10 years of longitudinal data that support its success based on five domains of evaluation including a reduction in behaviour, stability in the child's placement, cost savings, client satisfaction and caregiver stress.
