Nida Khan is the Director of Research and Development at SMILE Canada - Support Services, a Canadian charity for children with disabilities and their families. She leads efforts to address policy gaps in health, education, and social services for under-served and under-represented populations. Her work is deeply rooted in human rights advocacy, research, and community impact, with a particular focus on addressing intersectional oppressions and institutional barriers.
Nida holds a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration from Adler University, specializing in Social Change Leadership, and has conducted research on the effectiveness of Emotional Intelligence training for law enforcement officers in reducing instances of police brutality against marginalized communities. She completed an Honours BSc in Specialized Psychology from the University of Toronto. Her academic background highlights her commitment to exploring systemic issues and creating meaningful change.
