Amanda St. Dennis, who lives with mild/moderate spastic, right-side hemiplegic cerebral palsy ADHD, anxiety and is autistic brings valuable insights as a research co-investigator for the Youth Engagement in Research project. In addition to her role in the research project, she is an advisory committee member for CP-NET and the steering committee youth representative for the Children’s Healthcare Canada’s Transition in Healthcare Hub. Amanda graduated from Carleton University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts Honors degree in Child Studies with a minor in Disability Studies, in addition to previously receiving her Developmental Services Worker Diploma in 2011. Outside of education, she has over 12 years of experience working with youth with disabilities as a personal support worker, respite provider and summer camp staff. She enjoys horseback riding, reading, and volunteering in her community in her spare time.
