Vanessa Tomas, M.Sc., is a fourth year, SSHRC-funded Ph.D. Candidate, under the supervision of Dr. Lindsay, in the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute and Collaborative Program in Neuroscience at the University of Toronto (U of T) and Bloorview Research Institute. She obtained her M.Sc. from McMaster University in Rehabilitation Sciences (2019). Vanessa’s research interests include knowledge translation (KT)/implementation science, patient-oriented research, youth and young adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities, participation and inclusion in society, strengths-based approaches to development, and most recently, she has been reflecting on and curious about equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) considerations in KT and implementation research.
Vanessa also actively engages as a research trainee with additional organizations such as CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research and Kids Brain Health Network to collaborate on and support a variety of initiatives.
