Gabrielle Shiry is currently the Intake Program Manager at KidsAbility. Prior to moving into this role, Gabrielle worked for 8 years as both an Intake and Early Years Social Worker at KidsAbility. She received her Master’s of Social Work from Wilfred Laurier University and has continuously worked in some capacity within the developmental sector throughout her career.
Gabrielle is passionate about the intake process and remains a strong advocate for the role of Social Workers in this area. She feels strongly that the unique set of skills & abilities Social Worker’s bring to the intake process are integral- especially when it comes to key programs such as Readiness Support.
Within her time Gabrielle has had the unique opportunity of working as an Intake Social Worker implementing the Readiness Support Program as well as the Program Manager now making some key updates and improvements to the program in practice.
