Karen Foster is an Anishinaabe kwe from Naicatchewenin First Nation, located in the Treaty #3 Territory. She recently graduated from the University of Manitoba, obtaining her Bachelor of Social Work degree. Karen has 20-plus years of experience in the field of social work, holding various roles throughout her career. She has worked with many First Nation communities throughout Northwestern Ontario and Northern Manitoba. Karen’s passion and ambition have always been focused on being a helper and working with children, families, and communities.
Currently, Karen Foster is the Director for Niigaanning Bimaadiziwin Child Development Services with the Kenora Chiefs Advisory. Her focus is to ensure that child development services are offered and provided to the 13 First Nation communities within the Kenora and Dryden areas.
