Over the past several years, BC’s Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) engaged in consultations with the sector that led to the development of a new service framework for children and youth with special needs. Implementation began last fall, until a new premier and advocacy by certain groups, called for a pause.

The BC Association for Child Development and Intervention is a provincial non-profit representing 35 community-based non-profit agencies contracted by the MCFD to support children and youth.

Come hear about our partner sector’s consultation and community collaboration, and what’s happening now. Here’s a chance to generate new ideas and strategies that could be applied both in BC and Ontario.
